I have been told that this Sunday the Lexington Herald-Leader will publish their thoughts on the Top Football Players in the State.. Anyone know if it is true ??

Yes, thier H.S preview comes out Sunday.

I would add Will Warf, QB for Metcalfe Co., to that list.

Actually I heard Murray has got a pretty good QB named Jordan Garland.

I don't think so.. I heard he threw more interceptions than touchdowns last year.. but he does have one or two great receivers, Peebles and Alston

Agreed, from what I've heard of the kid he sounds awesome!

Bardstown's Kelvin Scott should be among the RB elite. Were he 3 inches taller and 15 lbs. heavier, with his speed and ability he would be a Div. I prospect.

Wylie Brace- All-State Guard, Richie Cox, and Jackson Tolle of Mason County are all D-I prospects.:thumb:

Aaron Boyd-Henry Clay WR

 

Boyd is listed at 6'5, 195. He puts on some muscle in the next couple years, he could be a great receiver at any level. Cole and Fields both run a 4.4 40-yard dash, enough said! I know there are others, but these are the ones I have seen play personally.

Luke Stein of Highlands was named to the C-J top 20 Seniors. You could have easily included Alex Hempfling, Clay Cecil, Drew Bathiany, Drew Simons, Ryan Ball, Zach Hurtt....I guess what I'm saying is Highlands is LOADED!!!

From East Kentucky (in no particular order):

Shawn Grimm HB, Johnson Central- Ran for over 2400 yards last season, expect more of the same. Arguably the best RB in the state.

 

Dustin May FB/LB, Belfry- There is no better FB in the state, period. Looking for a third consecutive 1000 yard season. May is also probably the best LB in the mountains as well..

 

Nathaniel Dials TE/DE, Johnson Central- Dominating defensive player, anchors very strong JC run defense.

 

Adam Dials RB, Sheldon Clark- One of the best backs you have never heard of. Also looking for a third consecutive 1000 yard season.

 

Daniel Harmon HB/LB, Pikeville- Health is an issue right now as he is suffering some back problems. A healthy Harmon is a mix of speed,agility, and power that is very difficult for any team to contain.

 

Clint Cashen QB, Corbin- Seems like he has been starting since 6th grade. Mobile, accurate QB who leads a veteran Redhound team.
