Good scrimmage by both. If anyone out there thinks that Danville is down this year, they are mental. They have as much speed as they've always had. Leonard Macon might be the best player in the state as a Junior. He is as good as there is, anywhere, any state any class.

Mercer came out the opening drive and went about 70 yds for a score in 5 plays. The end of the 1st quarter was 7-6 Danville. With about 4 minutes to play in the half, Mercer was running an option play and the pitch went wrong, it was a fumble and Danville picked it up and ran in for a score from about 5 yards out. Mercer got the ball back, went a few plays and out. Danville got it with about a minute left to go in the half and then started playing pitch and catch with Leornard Macon and their other target (6'2 200). Danville scored as the horn blew.

The 3rd quarter, Danville got the ball to start the half (both teams still had their starters in). Danville drove a little past midfield and punted on 4th down, punted. Mercer got the ball back, went downfield for their second TD. I think the starters from both sides went another series or two, no scores. The D's from both teams were really getting after it.

The J.V's started rotating in during the last few minutes of the 3rd quarter, then leading to the last 30 minutes was the freshmen. The J.V's did a session of 10 and 10 after the 3rd ended. They were the only ones that went 10 and 10.

So, technically, for those of you out there looking at this as only a WIN/LOSE scenario. Danville won that 21-13. I want to say best of luck to Danville's QB, Trey Grey, who left the game with an injury. If he comes back ok, then the rest of 2A, you better watch out, because the ADS might just end the season with their 11th state championship. Mercer tinkered with their "new offense" a little, and with new starters all in the backfield and recieving corps, there were breakdowns, but also some DEFINITE positives. I think Mercer only got in the wishbone, maybe, 10 plays at most tonite. Best of luck to the Titans and ADS this year!!!

How did Danville's offensive line and running game look? That is where they had all the graduation losses. Is the other 6'2" 200 lb. receiver Dominique Alcorn?

Without sounding like a smart butt, Danville's O and D Lines/Running game looked like, well, Danville's. I havent seen their linemen without pads on, but it looked to me like all of them except one, Peirce Nesbitt (6'3 250) are all in the 190-230 range?? Adopted Admiral and some others could clarify that for me?! Their running backs can flat fly, like always. They have speed to burn and more speed on top of that. In saying that, I think they are all relatively young, but when you have one of the best Head Coaches(Sam Harp) in the game, along with the assistance of Jerry Perry (D Coordinator) and the rest you can bet that by November they will be running for the hardware. Yes, I believe the other big target was Dominique. They have so many athletes over ther that I lose track sometimes.

Adopted, how's Trey Grey, have you heard?? I hope all is ok, because that kid has been through more than enough in the past few months. Great young man, great player!:thumb:

THere is a Kid Brandon Klein #75 he is close to the 300lb range other than that they are kind of small.

From what I have heard Trey is fine,It looked to me like a ankle or Thigh injury but I believe it was very minor.IMO they were being xtra cautious with it being a Scrimage...

BTW I just seen Coach Jaggers about 15 mins ago Riding around in Danville in His Big blue Truck...(He is a Nice Guy)....:thumb:

Yeah, he was heading to a soccer game!! Go figure, right?! Then again, if he didn't, he'd have a little 8 year old daughter that would hail wrath on him like no other! :jump:

Great news for Trey!!! Bad news for the rest of 2A!

Yeah AA, from what I'm hearing Trey is fine.

I should find out something By Tomorrow what exactly happened...

Yes the field looked great - someone deserves a raise! Can't wait to be back next weekend for the Pigskin Classic. Enjoyed watching both teams in the scrimmage - good luck to the ADS! I am so glad football season is here.:jump:

As for you, continue to sit back in your chair behind a computer, talking negative about things..things that you obviously have no clue about.

True to form for you. No one else is entitled to thier opinion and yours is the only one that counts:rolleyes:

As for the game, does this concern the Mercer fans that they could not handle a AA team? You're jumping into 5A this year and couldn't handle a 2A school in a scrimmage.

No more personal attacks. The water is already bubbling for some of you.
