Does Mercer and Danville not play in the regular season this year??

No. They did not play last year either.

That would have made for a greatgame last year!:flame:

I'm looking forward to hearing about Grey's successes this year. I played in the same backfield with his daddy. Guess that's making me pretty old. Wow.

I think Macon could be the biggest recruiting prospect out of Danville since Chester Ford. With his tools, at this age, schools have to be drooling. Hopefully he can get his head on straight. I know Chester had his off the field issues when he was a younger guy too, but at least he was intense and about business on the field and in the weight room. I hear this kid also has issues concentrating on the practice field. I hope he realizes what kind of opportunity he has, and takes it.

Chester was an unbelievable player. Used to just toy with the center, talk to him and then knock him 5 yards into the backfield, messing up the play. Wouldn't even bother going after the ballcarrier , just tried to mess the line up real bad. Good at it to.

Who would have won last year? This year?

Don't know...Don't Know...

I don'y know who would have won but, it would have been one heck of an atmosphere for high school football. Much like the Boyle/Danville game. I really think area football here with Mercer and Lincoln rising up with Boyle and Danville is going to make for some special football here.

What will Lincoln look like this year with losing their offensive coordinator and those 2 studs?

From what I hear and have read, they are similar to Mercer. They lost their horses in the backfield along with alot of senior leadership from last year. I assume they will also be playing alot of young kids.

Don't be surprised when those Mercer Seniors step into the leadership role and the seasoned Juniors too. They are young but have strong will and determination plus they have a point to prove, while having a bullseye on their back. As of today, the Mighty Titans are still undefeated!!

I don't think anyone in this area will be surprised to see Mercer with continued success.:thumb:Mercer will be a good football team as long as they don't get the Big head like some of their fans have...
