Log Mountain Boy
Who does everyone think has had the best QBs the last 10 years or back when Redmon and Couch were in college on? UK- Couch, Bonner, Lorenzen, Woodson UL- Redmon, Ragone, Lefors, Brohm Not all have done great in the pros by any means, although the jury is still out. But both teams have had a great group of QBs. I think it is fairly balanced and can see an argument from both sides.
mobaar
Isn't Shane Boyd playing in the NFL for somebody? Gotta include him.
oldrambler
U.K. = 1. Couch 2. Bonner 3. Woodson 4. Boyd 5. Lorenzen U.L. = Ragone, Redman and Brohm all were/are pretty good. (I am not sure which order that I would put them in)
TheDeuce
U.K. = 1. Couch 2. Bonner 3. Woodson 4. Boyd 5. Lorenzen Even though he looked like a lineman, I think I'd have to put Lorenzen in front of Boyd.
youknowme
UK is better overall. It's obviously down to Couch & Brohm individually. Since Brohm's college career is not over with, we have to wait & debate that after the season.
bellalumni40
Dave Ragone played in a golf tournament that I played in last week. I'm guessing he isnt playing much football.

RockPride
U of L wise...I would say Redman and Brohm are close to a push, depending on what Brian does this season....then LeFors with Ragone bringing up the rump.
youknowme
Ruling out Woodson? I don't think Woodson will be breaking all those records Couch set so yeah...
SEABASS
Even though he looked like a lineman, I think I'd have to put Lorenzen in front of Boyd. Even in front of Bonner.
oldrambler
Even in front of Bonner. This is an opinion thread amd I respect yours but I really don't think that Lorenzen was as close to as good as Bonner. All of that went down and imo was done in a pretty underhanded way by the master of dirty deals in Hal "B"umme. Again, jmo but Bonner was a far better QB than Lorenzen - he didn't get the chjance to prove it at U.K..
ram2003
Dave Ragone played in a golf tournament that I played in last week. I'm guessing he isnt playing much football. I heard he was the starting QB for the Euro-league champions a couple of years ago and recently has been trying to get into the NFL. Lefors seems to be getting no respect in this thread. He lacked size but his heart, head, and ability were right up there with the best.

If Brohm had the legs that Stefan had, you wouldn't be able to touch him...
youknowme
In 2005, Ragone was named NFL Europe's Offensive MVP, leading the Berlin Thunder to World Bowl XIII. LeFors ranks as the 4th all time leading passer at the University of Louisville with 5,853 yards & first in pass completion percentage with 66%. In December 2006, LeFors was signed by the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL as an import player. He is currently the backup quarterback for the team's 2007 season. Bonner is now the general manager of the Lexington Horsemen.
