HHSDad
Places to check out: Alcatraz Golden Gate Bridge (we walked it) The Palace of Fine Arts (amazing place near the Golden Gate) If you like your garlic, eat at The Stinking Rose. It's a California-Italian joint that puts garlic in everything. The Jelly Belly Factory is very close and you can do a tour of the factory. And you have to drive down Lombard Street
oldrambler
Alright gang, I've arrived in San Fran a little while ago. For those of you who don't know/forgot, I'm running the San Francisco Marathon on Sunday. That's 26.2 miles of sheer unadulterated bliss...or not. I'll let you know how it goes. Until then, let me know some cool spots to check out while I'm here if you've been around SF before. Don't drink the water!! :sssh:

UKPat02
If anyone cares, you can go to this website http://www.runraceresults.com/live1/ and track me live during the race on Sunday, which should run between about 9am-2pm EST. My bib number is 1720. It won't be updated until Sunday, so if you enter that bib number now, you'll get some dude from Alaska. That isn't me. JOHNDUNHOFT
The wife and I loved Chinatown at night for dinner, fishermans wharf is great just to walk up and down to see the sights. Napa Valley was great if you like to test wine's as my wife did. Have a jacket as it gets a little nippy in the evening. Have fun and good luck in the race. Hasbeen
I've been told that if you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair. Don't remember who told me that, heard it somewhere.
