I think you messed up the Mountain West. Utah appeared a couple years ago and won, but that's the only appearance for the conference. Boise State, who beat Oklahoma last year, plays in the Western Athletic Conference.

BCS is such a joke. I know we have all heard it before, but a playoff would be amazing. Not a short 8-12 team playoff, get a 16 team playoff, or maybe more. Think of the up set's. It would be amazing.
People keep complaining about the BCS, but when you guage the interest, growth, and passion for college football, the system clearly isn't broke.

Im not complaining man im just saying. Teams like Boise State last year, and Utah when Smith was the quaterback, yeah they did play in some pretty big bowl games but they went through the season without getting beat, while Florida, lost 1 game, but played in the championship. I know Florida is in a WAY bigger and better confrence than them, but still. A playoff wouldnt have people wondering what if Boise had got to play Florida, or what if Oklahoma had got to play Ohio State. Look at the NCAA basketball tournament, all the up set's, people love that and in college football people really love when a team like Boise State or Utah comes out of no where and beats a national powerhouse like Oklahmoa.

College Football is not designed to have a March Madness type of feel about it.

The ratings keep getting higher and higher for college football. I am not sure they would increase with a playoff.

The current system gives a different sense of closure than a playoff.

Michigan, Notre Dame and Florida St sure do stink up the place in these big games. A combined 2-11 :scared:

Florida State's crime in two of their losses was that they played in the BCS Championship, and two other losses were by a combined 5 points, and one of them was in 3OT. All of them are losses nonetheless, but there is more to the 1-5 record than meets the eye.

That is a great point. I would also state that simply making it to a BCS game is an accomplishment, with exception of one team.

Did you include Virginia Tech and Miami's records in the Big East or ACC statistics?

People were watching the bowls before they were put into the BCS system. People will watch college football bowl games that have tradition, regardless of what's on the line. The BCS had nothing to do with that.

Yes, Miami has an overall record of 3-1 in BCS games. All of those games were when they were in the Big East. Virginia Tech's overall record is 0-2 in BCS games 1 as Big East and 1 as ACC. However Miami should be included in the most appearances list. Not sure how I missed them but I have added them below. I personally feel that those wins/losses should stay with the conference that they were in at the time.
