Cooper High School????

I saw in a thread in the high school football section where there will be a Cooper High Shcool in ther Northern Kentucky area in the 2008-2009 season.

Just wondering if anyone can give me details:

Where it will be located?

What will the potential size of the school?

The mascot?

The colors?

How is it being formed? (i.e. is it a consolidation OR are kids from one or more schools being taken away from their school to go there)

I'm just curious cause I've not heard anything about a new school up here and am just wondering those things stated above.

Thanks in advance for anyone that will be able to provide any information for me!!!:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I was thinking the same thing. I did a search in the Ashland paper and the Huntington paper and found no mention of this.

I would imagine he's talking about the Boone/Kenton/Campbell county area. I know its a big area, I'm assuming a school (or schools) would be splitting.

I didn't see anything about a mascot either. How about one of the following?

The Minis

The Fighting Finimores

The Cooper Blacks (a typeface)

The Tires

The Malamutes (I like this one)

The Slys

I like Malamutes...can anyone tell us where it comes from?! I'm not sure "Blacks" would fly!

Cooper is the name of the new high school in Boone County that will pull kids from Conner and Ryle and maybe Boone County High School. Its named after deceased Ryle principal Randy Cooper.

:thumb: And it could not be named after a better human being! Randy Cooper was as good of a person as they get. What an honor to the memory of "Coop".

R.I.P. "Coop"

from one Old Rambler to another.
