Brian Brohm...it has officially started...

Featured Replies

Good luck to Brian this year I hope he does well and stays healthy. I believe he is the second best QB in the nation. Number 1....from what I've seen I'd say Hunter Cantwell.

Haha, while I LIKE it, I don't necessarily agree. But I don't want anyone else backing up Brohm, that's for sure.

I can say in all honesty that I hope that Brohm can stay injury free this season. I don't like to see anyone from any team injured.

Nothing against Brian, but give Hunter the reps and the time that Brian has had and you got a very good QB. I hope Brian has a great year...but I know football.

Hunter has almost all of the intangibles...but there is a reason why, when the Cards play zone defenses Hunter struggles...come'on AL you know MUCH better than that...Hunter is great..but needs a lot more in the "reading" department ...

Some UL fans said the Cards had two QB's better than any that UK... I think that little theory has been put to rest.

Difference is, Woodson has had a full year at the helm, while Hunter hasn't. Does that mean Hunter would prove to be better than Woodson? Definitley not....But I'd think Hunter would have to have a full year at the helm before we could really make any assumptions of that nature.

Woodson is projected as a Top 10 pick right now. JMO but that theory has been put to rest.

That didn't stop some UofL fans making the claim....

RockPride...did you see the line where I wrote "give Hunter the reps and the time that Brian has had"? How do you learn to read the defense? Brian deserves where he is, I'm just saying Hunter is also a fine QB.

Best on the team? You're kidding yourself.

I think Brian is a tremendous talent, but how can you really say he isn't injury prone. He has yet to play a full varsity year as a starter, and while the thumb may have been a freak thing they happen pretty often in football. Not just thumbs freak injuries in general. With that being said, I hope he has a Heisman year all but one game.

OR, I never said he was "the best". Lets talk in a few years.

Actually, AL, unless I'm totally misreading this...you not only said Hunter was the best on the team, but in the NATION! With Brian as #2.

Ok...I stand corrected. I just don't like to re-read my posts, and I get lost. Actually I like both QBs and am a little jealous.

Is Hunter Cantwell a senior, too? I really hope not becaue I'd like to see him at least get one year to shine as the unquestioned starter for UofL.

With that said, Brian Brohm is the best QB in the nation, and Cantwell a most likely the best backup in the land who could start for 90% of the teams in the country.
