Brian Brohm...it has officially started...

Featured Replies

Is Hunter Cantwell a senior, too? I really hope not becaue I'd like to see him at least get one year to shine as the unquestioned starter for UofL.

With that said, Brian Brohm is the best QB in the nation, and Cantwell a most likely the best backup in the land who could start for 90% of the teams in the country.

Cantwell will be a Jr.

I think Brian is a tremendous talent, but how can you really say he isn't injury prone. He has yet to play a full varsity year as a starter, and while the thumb may have been a freak thing they happen pretty often in football. Not just thumbs freak injuries in general. With that being said, I hope he has a Heisman year all but one game.

Brohm is RP's boy. He is going to defend him.. but he is extremely accurate on Brohm. I think what he is trying to say that Brohm has bad luck along with injuries. So it is questionable to label him injury prone. However, he must play in every game this year to prove he can endure a full year. But it's not fair to call him a Ki-Jana Carter or anything.......

^ thank you...and you are right on every level...I will defend...but I am fair as well.

It isn't like he keeps having a ton of injuries. Two injuries is not injury prone. He had the knee injury, which is all too common these days, but seemed to recover from that very well. Then the hand injury which kept him out part of the season. I don't believe he is injury prone at all.

The fact is that this UK fan thinks that Brohm is a phemonenal talent who I would to have LOVED to see in Blue/White, but it wasn't to be. If he had played at UK, the Wildcat faithful would be defending him as well. We still ought to as he is a homegrown kid.

Brohm isn't getting all this hype for no reason. He is the real deal with all the tools and will have a tremendous season. I hope he only loses one game this season, but has an otherwise perfect season and leaves no doubt in any scout's mind. I look forward to UK not having to face him anymore.

Nobody is saying he is Mr. injury knocking him, but when you look at his college career which all NFL scouts will do you will find injuries. I hope he has an injury free year and goes in the 1st round.

He is as advertised and better. Better than Brady Quinn.

He has been a pleasure to watch through High School and college. This comes from a guy that has been going to UK football games since around 1980 when I was a really little kid.
