Kentucky just got a verbal from a big man from Rose Hill and on that thread alot of people talked about a Jackson kid, why is Rose Hill not the favorite. Not from that part of state, but curious why people don't think they have a chance?

Rose Hill in the 2nd half against Raceland last nite looked like a top 25 team with Chad Jackson driving and Euton hitting the 3's they outscored the Rams 35-9 in the 3rd, the transfer they have to run the point opens up Chad to float and slash they will give Elliott all they want IMO.

Manuel and Fern Creek are prob the only top 25 teams from the 7th. The 7th is down this year.

Sorry, but you are way off. Fern Creek who beat Elliott County will not even appear in the 7th regions top 5 much less state's top 25. Manual is said to be the regional favorites. Male, Ballard, Jeffersontown, Eastern, and Trinity will all be ahead of Fern Creek. In the 6th Region, PRP will be the favorites.

Corbin, Cumberland and June Buchanan could be in that category.

 

Some kids will have to step up their games and mesh within the team framework for Corbin to achieve this type of status.......but the jury is still out on this. I look for Cumberland and Corbin to be at the top of the 13th region with Knox Central, Pineville and South Laurel in the mix as well.

With two kids ranked in the top 75 nationally in their class I would rank Rose Hill in the top 25 along with Elliot County.

You may be right. I will say I have only seem them play one time this summer but they played very well the time I watched. How many of the 7th region teams do you think will be in the top 25? Aren't most the the teams in that region this year pretty young?

so you would put Rose Hill, who didnt even make it to there region tournament last year, ahead of a team who went to the state tournament? and returned pretty much everyone?

Rose Hill pretty much returns everyone on their team and from what I have heard has a nice point guard addition to the team as well which will allow more freedom for Jackson. The Royals are going to be a team to reckon with along with Elliot County in the 16th Region. Until Elliot gets knocked off by someone in the 16th Region the Lions are the team to beat.

it looks like eastern Kentucky will own the bottom 8 or 10 spots on the top 25.

Out of those eight...only three of those teams IMO are top 25.

IMO if Elliott had a bruiser in the middle they would have a legitimate shot at the state title
