Bailey Tonight

Featured Replies

Anyone else out there wanting to see Homer pitch and see how good he does. He will have a tough time with Cleveland but there will be tons of support in the stands for him.

I'll go out on a limb and predict a quality start from Bailey - 6 INN, 3 ER. I'll be most interested to see how they handle his pitch count.

Let's just hope the rain gets out of here by gametime.

6 innings; 4 runs; 5 k's.

My guess.

So close to quality...:sssh:

Knowing Jerry's managerial style like I think I do. He never lets him get more than 5 innings.

So I will say 5 innings, 3 runs, 8 hits, 5 K's, 1 BB.

I agree , but lets finish the prediction; Reds are up 6-3 at this point, but lose in the 10th when a 2 out bases loaded popup to the catcher is suddenly swept up in a small tornado and bounces off of Dunns head to go over the left field wall for a grand slam. 7-6 tribe

If you're right 98, and I realize you're being somewhat flippant, but they won't let him go past the 5th, than that becomes reason #6 not to bring him up. Why get into the bully any sooner than necessary?

That's up to Bailey. If he trends like the did in AAA his pitch count will be hit before the 6th inning...

If that's the plan, the "savior" is Eric Milton...

I am serious.

And I completely agree with you.

I wouldn't bring him up now either.

Homer Bailey has never pitched into the 8th inning. In the pros.

Homer Bailey has never pitched into the 8th inning.

Wrong. He did about 2 weeks ago. The first 2 batters reached base and he was lifted...

It's as simple as this...the bottom line...

Right, 100 pitches doesn't mean anything if it's in the 5th inning...
