He pretty much did. Everything but the signed contract. Up until the very end, it was a "done" deal that he was coming to UK.

As far as right now there is no comparison as Donavan, at present, is the best college coach. Let's look at it in 5 years and then compare. I think what most of us UK fans mean is we have a coach who really wants to be here and probably isn't going anywhere anytime soon. If Donavan were at UK it would be exactly like Pitinos last few years as he would have been flirting with the NBA. Gillispie truly is tireless and I see him giving Donavan a run for his money.

If you think Billy Clyde isn't interested in the league, you're wrong. It might be a few years down the road, but if has the kind of success that UK fans seem to think that he will it will be sooner rather than later.
