I was sleeping, Odell Thurman comes in and pushes my brother down and kicks him in his face which knocks him out. I was sleeping but when I woke up he pushed me too. Did he? Why wait to call the police if someone just put a gun in your mouth? This whole thing just sounds shady.

If I had the same history as he did, I would definitely be avoiding anywhere that might get me in more trouble. This guy is just an idiot.

As long as your best friend and brother are comfortable with providing false information in connection with you filing a false police report and leaving themselves wide open to possible criminal charges and a civil suit. Unless you, your brother, and best friend have the same street thug mentality as Chris Henry/Odell Thurman - and I'm quite certain you do not - I'll bet your brother and best friend would be (or certainly should be) a bit less reluctant to make this false claim to police than you have claimed. Just a guess. Not saying it doesn't happen all the time or that Thurman is guilty in this situation, but the guy's history is every so slightly tainted and gives one reason to suspect the story is based in truth.

Remember, this picture came from an internet rumor website, so there's certainly a possibility that the picture has nothing to do with the story whatsoever. I'm more skeptical than most people because I'm in law enforcement, but knowing this guy's history, it would hardly be shocking. Ultimately, I doubt if it matters now anyway - the Bengals will be done with him.
