There are going ot be a lot of names coming and going, and Jody Demling is the source for a lot of this speculation. He thinks UK leads for Tyler Zeller. Who knows at this stage. A new name to track...Matthew Humphrey...southpaw shooter out of Chicago. I would imagine some info will be out after the big Memorial Day AAU Tournament in Tennessee.

May 24, 200719 yr One other thing to consider, and I know it won't matter with kids who are going to sign in November, but I think Billy G and UK's performance on the court this season could have some impact on recruiting. If UK comes out playing an entertaining style and exceeding expectations, it could possibly sway someone to their side...if they bomb, then the opposite. It's a little too early to be up in arms because we're not leading in 5 of the 8 targets, or whatever that stat was...but, I realize, that's the M.O. for us Cat fans... Billy G and UK will be fine...next year's class may not consist of 13 Burger Boys, but I figure it will be a pretty good and will keep moving us forward. The guy has won everywhere he's coached...he'll do the same at UK and he'll bring in good players, and more importantly, I expect him to do a better job of developing the ones he gets.

Humphrey is another 6'5 shooting guard, ranked 74th in the 08 class and 18th ranked SG...With Legion & Meeks already on board, is that what we really need? Its also rumored that he's a package deal with his teammate, unranked 6'9 PF Michael Dunagan, so, do you use these 2 schollies on a player where you're most talented at and on an unranked guy? It doesn't seem likely, but, who knows...

Find any kid that has another highly recruited friend on a high school or AAU team, and you'll find a reporter asking if they've ever thought about going to school together. The answer is always the same. "We talk about it all the time. It's something we'd love to do". Message board world runs with "package deal" and then it doesn't happen when all is said and done...

And that's why. There's just too much reading between what is actually truth and what a reporter is trying to "bend" just to get his story read.
