Not like the old Tom Osbourne days, when they would go out and get the biggest corn-fed guys they could, red shirt them while they lift and continue to get corn fed and finally become one big neck muscle who will push you around by your junior and senior year.

Woody Haye's (3yds. and a cloud of dust), Bear Bryant's wishbone, Barry Switzer, Tom Osborne, Vince Dooley, Bo Schembechler amoung others................That Is Football, run it down their throat, play super tough defense and when you throw then throw the thing deep. :ylsuper: :ylsuper: (you might say I am Old School ) I struggle with it too, I'm very old school. But the times are changing and you'd be surprised to see how much they do run the ball. The offense is similar to when they had Frost. He wasn't an option running QB but they still ran the ball and ran it well. Probably my favorite college player to watch was Tommy Frazure!

May 21, 200719 yr Tommy Frazier's run against Florida in the Fiesta Bowl up the near sideline was one of the greatest college plays of all time. This is big signing for the Huskers. I'd expect Keller to have a BIG year this year, and that should help to lay the foundation for this kid to continue when he gets under center. Keller to Purify is going to be fun to watch this year.

May 21, 200719 yr We were on his list, but right now there wasn't a spot for him. Good luck to him. If he wanted to go to Bama he would have had a spot there. He like the tide a lot but distance played a big factor in eliminating the tide.

May 21, 200719 yr I could watch it 100 times, it never gets less amazing. That is the 2nd best team (allegedly) in the country they are playing, not some D-1AA program in September. He was the proto-typical college option QB. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
