June 14, 200719 yr Yeah I'm on a similar schedule except I'm on Monday to Friday night. 3rd shift is a whole different kind of lifestyle. I've been doing it for 12 years now... Man that must be rough, I cant imagine doing it for that long. I was on 2nd shift but I like 3rd a lot better.

You can still go to a game, a concert, and stuff and still make it to work. As long as you keep a semi disciplined sleep pattern, it's not too bad...

June 14, 200719 yr Third shift is so much better than 2nd. You can still go to a game, a concert, and stuff and still make it to work. As long as you keep a semi disciplined sleep pattern, it's not too bad... I could never have a disciplined sleep pattern with that schedule, It's everything I can do to make myself go to sleep within 3-4 hours of getting off work. If I worked til 8 I'd be lucky to be asleep by noon and up by 6-8 p.m.
June 14, 200719 yr OK, so I go to UDF to fill up the gas tank and wash the windows. Needless to say at 3:30 in the morning you definitely have better odds to see some characters. However, what I saw broke my heart. There's a guy, who looked sauced who got out of his car. As he got out a woman got out and started yelling at him and cursing, she was pregnant. When she got out she opened the door for her 1-2 year old son. Unbelievable. On top of that, her pregnant butt was buying cigarettes... Of course, I had to add a 'classy' comment...:madman: :madman:

June 15, 200719 yr WHY CAN'T I SLEEP??? Working two jobs and my apartment is about 95 degrees with air going full in the middle of the night, I honestly think I'm cracking. I'm going to lala land and I will REFUSE to come back, because ANYTHING is better than this!
