I have seen alot of talk about the Colonels, Kings and Royals. How about the Bluegrass Chiefs. Here is their Roster.

Scott Baker - Holy Cross

David Combs - Bellevue

Chris Eder - Conner

Nick Elwert - Heritage

John Ham - Boone Co.

Jarod Harris - New Cath

Jeff hatfield - Ryle

Robert Layne - Ryle

Ben McQueen - Conner

Chris Miller - Beechwood

Chas Moore - Georgetown

Rainer Oliver - Ryle

Ryan Sheehy - Ryle

Casey Sprague - Boone Co.

Jon Starnes - Simon Kenton

Jeff Strong - St. Catherine

Shane Taylor - Conner

Brian Weiss - Ryle

Dylan Wells - Dixie

Kyle York - Ludlow

Prior to the season, Combs, Elwert, and Harris quit.

I believe you can add Brent Humphry (Ryle) to this Team as well.

You can also add Jordan Adkins of Scott to the Bluegrass Chiefs roster.

What is the upcoming schedule for the KY Kings?

What is the upcoming schedule for the KY Kings?

In Dayton OH all weekend, we were 4-0 in the tournament a in a position to play 3 games on Sunday to win the tourney but we had to split for the East / West game at UK. Off Monday, play Morganroth at Princeton on Tuesday and then we play at Thomas More on Wednesday before we head to Purdue to play Thursday thru Sunday. As of Saturday evening we are 23 - 3.

Three summer teams from Northern Kentucky the Kings,Colonels, and the Royals were a combined 12-3 (each team went 4-1) in the Lance Moore Tournament in West Lafayette, Indiana this weekend. This record against some real good ball clubs shows how strong baseball is around Northern Kentucky this year. Hats off the all 3 ball clubs!

IMO: for Northern Ky

12's Kentucky Krush, but Ky Kids are a very close second.. for now.

fwiw: Ky Kids are 3 - 0 vs Crush

Nice 15 year old team out of Louisville has won both tournaments it participated in during the dead period. Won at Nicholasville with marginal competition but one a big one in Cinci this weekend with some pretty good competition. This weekend will tell the story as they travel to Indianapolis. Roster includes:

Cameron Mason (Male HS)

Casey Robinson (Bethlehem HS)

Jeff Gardner (Whitfield Academy)

Jeremy Bale (Butler HS)

Willy Kinney (St. X)

Caleb Vogelsang (Butler HS)

Blake Ryan (Manual HS)

T.J. Simmons (Breckinridge Co)

Brandon Alphin (Bullitt East)

Jason Smith (Whitfield Academy)

and a boy from Shelby Co. and one more from Male.

Nice team and I would expect alot from them over the next 3 years.

Update. Bats are now 19-0 and have won all four tourneys they have participated in this year. This weekend they will be in Murray Ky. and step up and age group to play some 16 yo teams. We will see how that goes.

Bats win tourney in Murray and finish season 23-1. Kurt Mason and David Downs did an excellent job with a fine group of boys. If they stay together and improve as they age they will be a force.
