I have gotten to the point of not even turning to the sports section anymore. I get my kicks off reading the town crier section and all the arrests. Can someone tell me why Silver Grove Police keep reporting all of the times they tell kids to get off of a corner? There must have been 10-15 reports of telling juveniles to move from this or that corner. I know the town is 4 square blocks and they have to do something but come on.

 

Actually what I have observed Sport-wise is that the coverage is sometimes based on what is "accessible" that week. So if Highlands is playing in one of the best Baseball tournamnets downstate in Lexington you probably aren't going to see much coverage. However, if they are playing a couple of home games on the right days you will see coverage, even if the games are non-district/regional. So last week you got NCC's softball team in the All-A because it was played up here. If it was played down in Richmond you wouldn't have seen the coverage. They can only cover so much on the budget.

 

Now the police reports are great. In addition to musical chairs game where the cops keep chasing kids are over, the people in Silver Grove and rural Campbell County have the most unique crimes. The Fort Thomas, Newport, Bellevue and Dayton reports are boring. The Campbell County ones sometimes crack me up. Usually farm animals are involved somehow.
