April 30, 200719 yr Actually he has all the way up to the beginning of school. There is nothing that says you have to sign a LOI... The only problem about not signing a LOI is that teams could fill your scholarship and leave you without an offer... But then again, if a player such as Patterson wanted to go to a big time school and they ran out of scholarships, they would find a way to make room for him. There's not a lot of benefit in signing the LOI other than it's unprecedented not to do so.... IMO.

May 1, 200719 yr If he goes to Florida, then people will boo him here, and it probably would be very loud...However its not even going to come close to the boo's Billy D probably is going to get...
May 1, 200719 yr I'd say UF fans would be upset. At this point with all the talent they lost they need him almost as much as we do.
May 1, 200719 yr Personally, I'm happy UK got Gillispie instead of Donovan... :thumb: :thumb: Count me in on being in that group. :ylsuper:

I agree that U.F. needs him almost as much as we do but I don't think the U.F. really care that much. U.F. is and always will be a football school just like we are a basketball school. Now, if he was a real "blue chip" football player and chose U.K. over U.F. it would be different.

U.F. is and always will be a football school just like we are a basketball school. Thats exactly it. How many times did they sell out their (half the size of Rupp) arena? Twice? For tOSU and UK.
May 1, 200719 yr We could all yell "Let's go PP" that might be more sportsmanlike. Now thats funny!:jump:
May 1, 200719 yr Isn't the Florida team going to be booed anyway coming into Rupp? Aren't most of the visiting schools? Isn't that what home court advantage is about? SHould we cheer for him? For Florida? I think this is a ridiculous idea that we shouldn't boo him and if we do, we have no class. That makes no sense!
May 1, 200719 yr If PP goes to Florida, the FLORIDA GATORS will be booed as a team when they come into Rupp Arena.

It makes plenty of sense...Some UK fans turn on someone simply because they choose another school and it isn't what that particular fan felt he should do. Well, guess what, it's not that fans choice, it's the players choice and if they choose to go elsewhere, they should be respected for that decision... Noone said cheer for anyone, just show some class and not boo a kid for not coming to your school...If some choose to boo PP if he goes to UF, to me, that absolutely shows no class...If the whole team gets booed for a competitive reason and homecourt advantage, I have no problem with it...
