I was just saying going D1 in general. I know Duran officially signed with Kentucky as did Kiernan with Louisville but I don't know about Murray and Gray...maybe you'd know a little more about those two?

From what I understand Gray is walking on at Marshall. Not sure about Murray, but I think he's on some form of scholarship, I don't know exactly how that works with the armed forces. What about the kid from Lloyd? Is he on scholarship or walking on? Anyone know?

Good question. Since no one pays tuition , and instead gets paid, I doubt there is a scholarship awarded.

Kyle Pettit, C, Pendleton Co. He is 6-3 290lbs. He is being recruited by Michigan. He was invited to come up sat. for the spring game. He also went to every home game this past season. He is a very strong player. He also has scored a 27 on the act test and is ranked second in his class.

Kyle had a nice visit at Michigans spring game.He said he went to a spring practice on March 21 and had a meeting with Coach Carr. Coach Carr wants Kyle to attend camp this summer and said he would meet with him again at camp. Coach Mike DeBord,who is the recruiter for this area, said he would be coming to Pendleton Co. High school sometime in May.

This is a walk down memory lane. When my son played college football at Ashland University (II, OH), they were in the Heartland Conference that included Butler, Valparaiso and Evansville (football). It was NCAA Div II. Dayton was NCAA Div III for football. The NCAA decided that Div I programs had to be Div I in all sports that had Div I status. The aforementioned colleges did not want to give up there Div I status because of their basketball programs. They asked that the NCAA create for football a new category Div IAAA (non-scholarship football). The NCAA said no. They formed the “Pioneer Football League” as a Div IAA program with no scholarships.

 

Since then Ashland University (OH) left the Heartland Conference and joined a new conference (GLIAC) Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The members are: Grand Valley State (MI), Ashland (OH), Hillsdale (MI), Saginaw Valley (MI), Michigan Tech (MI), Indianapolis (IN), Ferris State (MI), Northwood (MI), Northern Michigan (MI), Mercyhurst (PA), Findlay (OH), Wayne State (MI) and Gannon (PA). In 2008-2009 Tiffin (OH) joins the conference.

No one in Northern Kentucky except the Ft. Thomas boys?!?!?? I know HHS is ahead of all of NKY at this point, but I'm surprised that Buckley or Furnish isn't at least on the list.....how is this compiled?

Now as the regular season ended are there any players that have the potential to be added to this list as possible D1 recruits?
