Went to the press confrence where Preston signed today. It was great. TV stations that I know where there was Ch 27 and 18...not sure on 36.

Last person to sign with a big division school from Clark Co was Larry Gay with Florida State in 1969. Ironic, he later was an assistant coach at Louisville for Denny Crum. Not everyday that a player from your school signs with a big division I school.

Does Knowles have a terrible attitude problem or am I thinking of somebody else. Heck of a basketball player by the way.

To all you haters; he is an eighteen year old kid, think back, if you can remember that far back, when you knew it all too!!! Pitino will coach and mentor this kid into the great player he is destined to be. Unfortunately not all of these kids have the silver spoon hanging from their mouth at birth, some have to scratch and claw for all they can get and they sometimes seem like they are over the top. Preston is smart enough to see this is a special road he has been put on and he will succeed! Stop putting him down he has earned this and he will prove it.

I too am a Knowles fan and all the other athletes that give their time, energy, sweat and dedication of being a athlete. The great thing about sports is that it helps kids in many aspects, and for many it also can provide a education, that other wise they may not pursue. How can anyone not be proud for any child that accomplished this?

 

Why some posters want to keep posting negative things about certain athletes is beyond me. I guess some just like to put down certain people or the school they are from.

 

I was at the press conference today when Preston signed with Louisville. It was a monumental occasion for all of Clark Co.

Preston will also be playing in the Derby classic this weekend, another great accomplishment. Proud of you Preston.:thumb:

Well Clark Co.'s radio guy was on our call in show tonight...and when asked about Preston as a person...he said he has a lot of work to do scholastically, though he is eligible currently...he could vastly improve in that department...no worries though...UL will make sure he does so.

I listen to Graham Johns on the radio this afternoon. Not sure of his exact words, can find out tomorrow. After having to set out a game because he did not turn in an assignment in time, he has really asserted himself in the classroom and is fine grade wise. I am sure many of us has learned this lesson the hard way to.

Well D1 schools have a way of making kids eligible, its called summer classes. You see, they take average classes in August and cake classes during conference play when they are spending more time in the gym and on flights and in the training rooms with injuries, etc. And in the summer they take a heavier load when the teachers are easier and would rather be out golfing and that sort of thing, it makes it a lot easier on the student/athlete that way. Or at least that is the way it was for me and my team mates.

I don't know if you are insinuating that I was posting negative comments about Knowles or not, but if you are, I would like for you to show me where I did. I was only asking if Knowles had a bad attitude. I wished that people were this passionate about gas prices. Maybe we would all march to Washington and do something constructive.
