April 10, 200719 yr Great Player but he is an extreme headcase... its a gamble for Pitino So was Charecter, but he turned out fine, and i don't think he is as big of a headcase as most make him out to be.

And he has only been on the team one year so he has alot more time to mess up. I know for a fact Preston is a headcase and that means he is a risk. That doesn't mean he won't work out fine but its still a risk. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Thats why they are called risks.
April 10, 200719 yr Great Player but he is an extreme headcase... its a gamble for Pitino We are still talking about a kid. Is it really necessary to lable a kid a "headcase"?

April 10, 200719 yr We are still talking about a kid. Is it really necessary to lable a kid a "headcase"? Its your first post and you are already criticizing other peoples posts. Yeah he is a headcase. Left the team at least twice, refused to go in games. Thats what he is. He can change but that is yet to be seen.

I can see your point though, because I know he was a huge headache for Mason Co.
April 10, 200719 yr Great Player but he is an extreme headcase... its a gamble for Pitino The same headcase that was blasted out of Rupp Arena in the State Tourney. Upon leaving the floor for a sub, he walked to the Ballard bench and shook everyone's hand, then headed to the center of the Rupp Arena floor and touched the UK logo, and then waved to the crowd as he ended his career. Pretty impressive showing of sportsmanship, IMO.

You can do better than that.

I don't need to do better. You obviously still haven't got over the fact that your beloved Royals were beaten at home by Knowles and the Cardinals. It really doesn't matter what your opinion of him is. Coach Pitino's is the only one that matters, and he obviously feels there won't be a problem.

Just because he feels there won't be a problem doesn't mean that there won't be one. I haven't gotten over it? So he didn't make bad grades, leave the team twice, and refuse to go into a game? Yeah he did. I have a GRC teacher that has verified that for me. Last time I checked, Mason County beat them the year before as well. I guess I can just hide by pain behind our state title banner and look forward to next year when Darius Miller owns the state.

Obviously Knowles made good enough grades to remain eligible, or are you saying that Coach Scott Humphrey took care of that? I have heard from someone very close to the situation all about Preston Knowles. Has he made mistakes in the past? Sure he has, but I'm not going to be the one to cast the first stone, something you obviously don't have a problem with. I congratulate you on being close to perfect. I know the situation this kid comes from, and he has worked hard to try and better himself, and hopefully this scholarship, and a free college education is the 1st step toward that. So go right ahead and keep criticizing the kid if it really makes you feel good about yourself.

That could change, we'll see. Whether you want to admit it or not, its a risk for Pitino. That doesn't take away from him as a player though. He single handedly beat Mason County. There is no disputing that.
