Huggins to coach West Virginia

Featured Replies

Is he the assistant that was originally at UNC Charlotte when Beasley committed to them?

Yes. He was also Beasley's AAU coach with DC Assault before he got the 49ers assistant job...

Yes.

Incorrect. Beasley wanted first and foremost to play for Delonte Hill...

I heard Beasley had a connection with Dermarr and really wanted to play for Huggy who obviously coached Dermarr.

Funny you mention that. Delonte Hill was DerMar's legal guardian and AAU coach also with DC Assault...

The only person who we know for sure that will be transferring to WVU is Ryan Patzwald. A walk-on who left NKU late to go to UC, then left UC to go to K-State, and I'm assuming will leave K-State for WVU.

So you don't think Beasley cares one bit about this move?

All that has to happen is K-State has to give a full release of these players from their NLI, if so then they can play this coming season. If not? Then they can appeal to the NCAA, if they still do not get out of the NLI they will have to sit a year and lose a year, so they will be available not this coming season but the next (2008-09). But they can still practice and even get aid from WVU.

To an extent. But he has always planned to play for Delonte Hill. It had verry little to do with Huggs...

As far as I know, gametime broke this story.

Not trying to take anything away from at, he's great, but labs started a thread on this and LRCW posted a link in that thread. Unless I missed something...

Huggs really showed how much he appreciated K-State stepping out on the limb for him, didn't he? How many colleges were courting Huggs besides KSU? Zero? One? I know its business but this only damages Huggs' already-tarnished reputation.

Hey Huggins had criminals at UC and will fit right in with the rest of the criminals from WVa. Chris Henry and Pacman Jones.

LABS asked about a rumor. GT came out with inside info (not posted here, but on his show)

Gotcha. We don't get that down on this end.
