April 5, 200719 yr I disagree. He did lose the national championship game, ... to the defending national champ, ... who had everybody back. I think he did an excellent job with a very young team, who will probably have Oden and Conley back next year! I don't see him leaving Ohio State right now. Thread is about Tom Crean, therefore, the post was about Tom Crean. I think Matta is "okay." I also think he'll be the next Coach in Lexington...
April 5, 200719 yr Matta or Barnes... Well I really would rather have someone else than either these two. However I much rather have Matta than Barnes....
April 5, 200719 yr I would not bet on Tom Crean at all. I think the top candidates right now are: Billy Gillespi - turned an 0-16 team (Big 12) from 3 years ago into a contender Jay Wright - brought Nova back to respectability Rick Barnes - has done a good job at Texas, but can't seem to get over the hump John Calipari - (though the boosters seem to want him more than Mitch, I still think he is a darkhorse candidate). He just scares me as someone who could get UK in trouble again. I think Mark Few runs to slow a game for many UK fans to be happy with, but he obviously can coach. 78.5/game, since when is that a "slow" game?
April 5, 200719 yr If its Tom Crean they better find a fax in Tubby's old desk that says D Wade has 3 more years of college elgibility!
April 5, 200719 yr While listening to The Reds game, Marty B. said...He's sure it will be Rick Barnes. I will take Marty's word, and begin my Mr. Barnes research.

Just watch the two games with Kansas where he had leads of 17 and 23 points then somehow forgot Kevin Durant was on his team. That's all I needed to see of Mr. Barnes.
