Does it bother anyone else that Billy Packer calls Donovan Billy Dunavun? It is really annoying. I am almost to the point that I'll turn off the sound and just watch in silence.... I am not a Packer fan in the first place but this really doesn't help!:fight:

Yeah, GT and I pointed that out in the Update thread. Very, very annoying and he makes statements that someone with his kind of experience should never make - almost like he doesn't even understand the game or something.

For some reason I think he is doing it intentionally to attract attention to himself.

I think he might be cucu for cocoa puffs...

Horford got one foul and was taken out by Richards. Packer said Dunavun was going to allow Richards (his 6th/7th man) to pick up 3-4 fouls before he brought Horford back in. What an idiotic statement...

Packer definately has problems. He praises Oden and the Dunovan thang was very annoying. I don't believe Packer could handle that no ACC team was in the finals or final four, maybe this was his distraction and caused hes constant speech problems. Does anybody think that coaches should be warned of t.v. timeouts? There was a moment in the game tonight when DONOVAN called a timeout and within about 15 sec. a t.v. timeout was called, ultimately causing Donovan to really waste a timeout, which he really didn't need to take, but its the principle behind it. Any thoughts?

No I actually get it all the time so when I hear that it's normal. Some people just pronounce it that way. My grandpa said it like that for 18 years. (oh and my names not donovan) swear.

What should they be warned about. It is no big secret as to when they are going to occur. It always the first dead ball under the 16, 12, 8, &4 minute marks in each half. They have 3 assistants to help kept track of time. I would bet that the reason that they do this is to give their teams extra time to rest. Call a T.O. then resume play until the next dead ball and get to have another T.O. You can get a player a long rest while they miss very little game action.

Packer pointed this out about every 3.0 seconds. about how tired Oden was. I got so tired of hearing how tired Oden was and Matta needed to give him a rest. If weren't for Oden in the game this one would have gotten ugly.
