Milton's paid too much for a 5, EE got benched for loafing but Griffey doesn't, Hamilton is being dubbed Hobbs, no one can get down a bunt on this team, Freel's not an everyday player, Dunn doesn't hustle and can't play 'D', Narron's clueless, Larue rubbed off on Ross and Sticky's always right...

Did I get it all?

I seem to remember leading the charge against Ross last year while everyone was ripping Cowboy apart. He's not (and never going to be) an every day C in MLB. NEVER...

As I said earlier LaRue isn't the answer either. He is batting around the 170 mark for the Royals as of this morning.

And I agree. My point was always that they were one in the same...

Including Cowboy, the Reds don't have one...

But they weren't last year. I remember saying that Larue shouldn't be playing as much as he did last year, not that Ross was a hall of famer. They don't have an every day catcher right now.

I'm with you there. LaRue couldn't bat, talked in third person, but he could play D, which is what you pay a catcher to do in the majors. Manage the pitching staff and play solid defense. Big hitting catchers are few and far between.

Ross was fine in one role last year. Catch Bronson. As his role expanded his numbers shrunk...
