May 12, 200719 yr It continues to amaze me how these guys that are so bad for the Reds go elsewhere and do well. :thumb: Says a lot for the Reds pitching coaches and how they develop pitchers doesn't it? :irked: Of course, it is not limted to just pitching, there have been several others do very well after they left Cincy.
May 12, 200719 yr Author I'm sure this makes you feel better hssb... Someone -- on orders -- asked if Homer Bailey entered the conversation when Narron and Krivsky were deciding who was going to come up to pitch Sunday. Narron's response was: "Bobby Livingston’s pitching Sunday, he pitched well this spring. It came down to Bobby Livingston and Matt Belisle. He’s pitched well in AAA."
May 12, 200719 yr Yep I love the late games as well and yet no one is posting. C'mon guys Wolf has 7 strikeouts through 4, he is pitching GREAT! lol
May 12, 200719 yr Not that I'm enjoying posting this stat, but facts are facts. The Reds are now 5-12 on the year in games decided by 2 runs or less. They have now lost NINE STRAIGHT by 2 runs or less. I guess if there is a piece of good news, is that tonight was only the 2nd time this year they have been shut out. lol
May 12, 200719 yr Author 4-10 against southpaw starters. Ouch. Sure glad we didn't have E-5 available... :irked:
May 12, 200719 yr Right like he has made a huge difference this season against lefties. E-5's robust .230 against lefties would have helped a lot.

May 12, 200719 yr Okay, so Freel is out sick, and you start Hopper??? Who cares if Hamilton is a lefty, you have to put your best lineup on the field....And the Reds wonder why they suck....
May 12, 200719 yr Author Okay, so Freel is out sick, and you start Hopper??? Who cares if Hamilton is a lefty, you have to put your best lineup on the field....And the Reds wonder why they suck.... Hopper was starting before Freel got sick. Hobbs has gone ice cold lately.....
May 12, 200719 yr Hopper was starting before Freel got sick. Hobbs has gone ice cold lately..... If Freel plays that's fine, but once he's unable to go, you have to play Hamilton. No team can win when they play 9-7....
May 12, 200719 yr Author If Freel plays that's fine, but once he's unable to go, you have to play Hamilton. No team can win when they play 9-7.... What's the point in arguing. You would have just found something else to gripe about if Hobbs was in and went 0-3...
May 12, 200719 yr You take away the two great games Hobbs had against Colorado when he had 6 hits in two nights with those two homers. He is 3 for his last 24.
