Congrats to the JV for getting the win. They needed it.

I was at the JV game and couldn't figure this one out....Dixie started off pitching a kid that the Birds could barely touch and took him out after just two innings. I don't think he was hurt????? The Dixie kid was a lefty with some serious heat.:confused: :confused: :confused:

Maybe the kid hasn't thrown much yet this year due to injury or something else, so was on a limited pitch count. :confused:

WOW....Pat Allen goes yard twice this year already. Sounds like a foundation for a great season.

Highlands looks like they have a brand new attitude from the last few years. They look very organized, and their attitudes are so much better. Ironic, how we have read so much about the Highlands kids going to Fla. on spring break in previous post. Dixie has 3 players who will be missing one more game due to these same reasons. The Allen kid has a very nice stroke, and throws the ball well.

I know they played Conner on Thursday, I think they threw an underclassman but Rawlings is their other ace.

After seeing the NCC Dixie score I think this is more of what is wrong with Dixie?????

They'll get more wins as the season progresses. Remember, for the most part this is a very young team (Freshman). The talent is there and the coaches are remaining positive and encouranging. Once a few of them mature physically they'll be able to match the competition. I have to give credit where it's due, the pleasant surprises are Sophomores Teddy Abner and Jake Daily and Freshman Ben Watson, Steve Kowolenek, Cameron Dierig and Chris Rizzo.
