Not in a million-zillion years...

Featured Replies

I think you nailed it RP, kids out of state could care less about the 40's/50's and late 90's, they are worried about today.

In A million-zillion years would leaving any school other than maybe UCLA, North Carolina, Duke, and maybe Kansas ever be a "step-down" then coming to Kentucky. Apparently Mike Bianchi needs to step out of the fantasy world and step into the real world of college baskteball. :thumb:

Real talk and just simply telling it how it is "strikes again."

In reference to Wireman.:D

Be careful there. What designates a premeir program...how about "almost" 3 Final Fours in the last 8 or so years, compared to none in the last 9? If they win it again this year...they'll go down in history for sure. And back 2 back in this day and age...is 900 X's more impressive than 5 championships in the 40's and 50's/

Maybe that is true, but I will still take those FOUR championships in the 40's and 50's (facts straight please) over the six total runner ups that Duke has over the years. Hey, nobody is better at being second best than Duke, that is some pretty good history I guess.:ylsuper:

Well RP, did you forget that Kentucky IS ALSO the all-time winningest program as well?? Surely that counts for something in your book. Or also we have more SEC titels then all other schools combined?? We get a point for that too right??

What I really like about this guy's columns is he is so impartial and really looks at things objectively......sheesh!

I thought it was a funny article...

WRONG...premier TEAM...not program, not ever.
3 of the last 7 Final Fours.

That's a premier program to me.

3 of the last 7 Final Fours.

That's a premier program to me.

And none prior to '00....2000 was a surprise to most as Florida wasn't even in the top 3 in the SEC that year, but, got hot and had a little luck on there side and managed to make the final 4....IMO, that year was more luck than being a power program...I look at UF as a great team the last 2 years, but, not neccessarily a great program...Once Horford, Noah, Brewer and the like are gone, if they keep up the same pace as the last 2 years for the next 3-4 years, then, i may agree that they've developed into a traditional power, but, not based on what they've done to date...Great team, yes, great program, not yet...

GMU has been to 50% of the last 2 final fours...They must be a premiere prgram too

Kentucky is, by most accounts, King of Basketball. No one can argue that, and anyone who thinks that it would be a step down from UF is only kidding themselves. Yes, UF has had a few good years, but do we really need to break things down for people? This guy is only trying to convince himself and make UK fans mad. He should look into writing for the comics page.

Whether Billy comes to UK or not, Bianchi showed how big of an idiot he is...

I wonder if the FLORIDA job opened up this much nationwide excitement among coaches would exist?? We would then see which job was a step down and which was not.

I think this post NAILS IT!!!!!!!!!!

Would we be hearing the names to replace Billy D as we have heard in replacing Tubby?

Absolutely not.

So stating that the programs are on an even level is ridiculous.

You're comparing 1 trip to 3. Pretty accurate analogy.

Pleae come stronger than that.

RP is a hater, when it comes to UK you just have to ignore him.

IMO all of UK fans live too much in the past. Sure you have multiple championships but how many do you have in the past 20 years? 2.

Florida could win 2 in 2 years. Kids these days are more worried about winning now...not tradition and history. If history was that important, why isn't Uk getting the top recruits EVERY year?

Kids want to win now and Florida is where they can win now.
