Billy D is ready for another challenge and that challenge is bringing Kentucky back to the level of play it is used to playing at. Just a gut feeling.....A gut feeling that I am hoping is right....

I mean he has it nice at Florida, but I honestly cant see him turning down UK, and I have tried to look at it from every angle I know how. I really like him as a coach and would be tickled. If he could go out this weekend int he tournament, and get things worked out quickly we could still land Patterson to and Lucas.

I think if he wasn't interested he would have shot all hopes down real quick, but Billy D has a special place in his heart for UK, he always has. I like the article on ESPN that said UK has 23,000 for practice and FLorida was only able to put 12,000 in for one non confrence game.

Great....we will have the UK faithful ("Billy is looking at horse farms in Lexington")....having so much hope in that their supposed savior is coming....and yet they can't recognize that Billy is getting himself a raise.

 

If he does get a raise the only one that might be big enough to keep him would be so big that he would be making more than.......................Urban Meyer. No way they let that happen down there. Its a football school after all and Meyer is BMOC not Billy D.

Billy will be there if UK puts up the required bucks...remember, money talks!

He has the youth factor, the charisma, the up tempo game style with emphasis on the three pointers, and everything the Big Blue faithful are looking for i a coach.

I've tried to toss it around in my head all day and I can see reasons why he wouldnt come to UK, but I can see more reasons why he would. I mean sure the UK fan base is brutal, but Tubby was comming back if he wanted for his 11th season and no final four since his first, so its not as bad as it looks. But I think a good coach will embrace the challenge, and Billy D has that fire.

I think his quotes tonight really give UK fans (which I am one, along with WVU) a hope.

Yeah, if I were a Duke boy I would be hoping and praying that Billy was just getting himself a raise too. :thumb:

Why? Duke plays UK just as much as they play Florida.

^Because then UK with Billy D would once again be at the same level or better than Duke since he would be able to get the players to come to UK that Tubby obviously could not or would not recruit.
