March 23, 200719 yr Now it is almost evident that those who fought for the past two seasons combatting the so-called Tubby bashers may just be bigger fans of Tubby than they are the program itself. I always wondered how they could not see how Tubby had reached his peak and was quickly on the way down, but now with all the Minnesotta and Tubby avatars, I think the picture is becoming a little clearer. Long Live The Cats................. Oooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS
March 23, 200719 yr Nice avatar. It what you call support and I support Tubby and the choice he made...
March 23, 200719 yr I'm a little disappointed in UK cause I feel as if they pushed him out. Not if this has been brewing for 6 weeks.

Long Live The Cats................. Oooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS Yeah you are right on! This is no differen't than UC, people there started to become fans of Kansas State and Ole Miss when Huggins and AK went to different places. It didn't mean that UC wasn't their favorite team still, but they just cared for their former coaches, and its the same way here...
March 23, 200719 yr I don’t like to post much on here, I think of myself as much more of a reader than a poster. With that said I have been wading through Tubby threads for the better part of 6 months now. I have listened to all of the Tubby bashing on recruiting, second round NCAA loses, #8 seeds, 10 loss seasons, championship with RP players. But I get on here today and the people with the Tubby crush are harsher than the Tubby bashers are. When I think of Kentucky and cheer for them I cheer for the name on the front of the jersey no matter who the coach or coaches are in all sports. So life goes on with or without Tubby. I look forward to next year just as I do every year in UK sports.

It didn't mean that UC wasn't their favorite team still, but they just cared for their former coaches, and its the same way here... Its totally different. UC fans didn't combat each other on here and acuse them of not being "true" fans. Sure a little of what you say can be the case for most, but after two seasons of accusing others as not being "true" fans, IMO I just think the "true fans" of someone other than the porgram itself are starting to come out.
March 23, 200719 yr Or maybe it's just that I'm embarrassed to be consider a UK fan when I get home from work and on ESPN they're talkin bout how much this is the FAN fault.

March 23, 200719 yr That was mainly Duke Vitale saying that. Dukie V and Tubby have been close friends for a while now, no suprise here. My parents are on in Florida ready to go on a cruise. And he said from the Florida media's perspective, the fans are out of control and unrealistic in KY.
