I'm not saying that, but it does seem about as reasonable as the same being said about people who had the nerve to criticize Tubby when he was our coach. I guess it's a two-way street...
March 23, 200719 yr Here's a little UCLA history for you... John Wooden (1948-1975) .808 winning pct (620-147) 10 National Titles 12 Final Fours 15 Pac-10 Championships Gene Bartow (1975-1977) .852 winning pct (52-9) 1 Final Four 2 Pac-10 Championships Note: Bartow went 28-5 in 1976 and lost in the national semi-finals, won 85.2% of his games (compared to Wooden's 80.8%) in two years, yet received death threats from unsatisfied UCLA fans. Gary Cunningham (1977-1979) .862 winning pct (50-8) 2 Pac-10 Championships Larry Brown (1979-1981) .712 winning pct (42-17) 1 Final Four (National Runner-up) Note: Forced to leave due to NCAA violations Larry Farmer (1981-1984) .726 winning pct (61-23) 1 Pac-10 Championship So, yes, I think I can make a pretty good assumption about UCLA would react in a similar situation. :thumb: I think your point helps mine out. Lets see the last 3 coaches your brought up, they have ZERO national championship while there. Only one had a final four, and he had NCAA violations. I see only 3 pac 10 titles between the last 3 coaches, yet Tubby had 5. Tubby ran a clean program, got us to the #1 seed overall a few times, and a couple elite 8 appearances. So no those guys dont compare to Tubby's resume when here, so no there is not much of a comparison...:thumb:
March 23, 200719 yr Author So.....just to sum up.....I'm not a true UK fan because I have a Tubby avatar?? Just want to make sure I understand the statement being made in this thread. NO!!! The only point I am trying to make is to point out that mainly the ones who bashed me and others for pointing out Tubby's faults are those who now bear Minnesotta/Tubby as their avatar. Everyone was quick to jump and accuse me last year as not being a fan because I pointed out a couple of Tubbs flaws, so I kept my mouth shut this season. However, I watched others take the same ripping I got just for pointing out Tubby's weakeness', and pointing out the fact that maybe parting ways would be best for both worlds. With all that said, all I am trying to get across is I find nothing wrong with supporting a favorite coach, but when it involves downing others just because they are worried about the program the truely love and are sincere about, then I think its funny that they are the ones waving Minnesotta all around the place, while those who were in question are still screaming GO BIG BLUE.

That is where you make no sense, because once again all of us who do have Minnesota as are 2nd favorite team now, so are also saying GO BIG BLUE, and will be NO MATTER WHO THE COACH IS...
