Patterson Comments on Recruitment..

Featured Replies

Mayo stated after the game Saturday night that he loves playing in front of his home state crowd of West Virginia, and always brings some crowd pleasers and always will for his home state. I'm sure Patterson feels the same way, and although they have pretty much been written off in this whole recruiting process, they are most definately dangerous at this point. He has already stated that his parents will move wherever he goes. Thus meaning they wouldn't even have to move if he made the trip to Morgantown from Huntington. Furthermore, he has stated he didn't actually prefer a populated college environment, so this would mean Duke, Wake, and West Virginia fit his preference from a popluated standpoint. Maybe he decides to stay in state and please the West Virginia fans he and Mayo feel so strongly about. Maybe he wants to be the factor getting them back to where they were two years ago?

Hating to quote Stephen A. Smith on this one, but Quite Frankly I feel that Patterson has no where close to a majority decision. He may have a lean, but a very small lean if he has one. PP is one of the few high school athletes who actually focused his attention on his high school season, and senior year instead of letting the recruitment process distract him. Now that it is over he has the time and ability to focus his attention solely on making a decision that is right for him. Now we may be able to get a better grip on things in the coming weeks, but the reason no one really knows is simple......Patterson doesn't even know himself. Oh the drama.

I think if he goes to Marhsall (still cant think of his name) it wont help Florida chances and may hurt them a little.

Donnie Jones is the assistant at Florida that used to play at Pikeville College.

He played high school ball in Point Pleasant if I am not wrong and assisted at Marshall under Greg White and then Billy Donavan if my memory serves me correctly. He was one of the first players that Greg White brought to Pikeville when Greg took the job there.

Thats odd. Morgantown is 204 miles from Huntington according to Mapquest while the "commute" to Lexington is a mere 128 miles.

"My mom actually called and texted me and asked me if I had told the Florida coaches I was going there," Patterson said Tuesday after school let out at Huntington High.

Am I the only one that finds this odd?

According to an article by Matt Jones on TCP, who spoke with his mom directly, that never happened. She said she doesn't even know what he's going to do, because he changes his mind on a week to week basis.

^ I'm thinking that it is odd his mom even had to call or text him to ask.

That's what I was saying. He doesn't keep his mom in the loop?

I think PP has a favorite, but he is not going to rush his decision.

I also think if WVU keeps pushing up the board he might cut his list to 4 instead of 3.

They wouldn't have to move in either situation. Both are closer than lets say Florida, Duke, Wake and Virginia

Yeah Jones and Patterson have a close relationship from what i have been told, and he is the front runner for Marshall. I think that would hurt Florida a little bit, atleast I hope it does haha.
