Setty and Miller from Mason County

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where Setty and his family moved from? Seems like he is from Ohio. and where did Darius Miller play middle school ball? I cant find a record of him in Mason County until his freshman year. I would just like to know.

Miller played middle school ball at Mason County.

Pretty sure he is one of the only basketball players for Mason Co. to ever play varsity ball as an eighth grader. (Miller) Setty is from West Union, Oh.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the Setty family moved from Aberdeen, Ohio.

Not totally sure on that, but what I heard.

Didn't Miller play in the Sweet Sixteen as an 8th grader the year Warren Central won the state title??

Yes, he got in for a few minutes. Mason rarely plays anyone that young on varsity but Miller is a rare exception.

I was at this game and being from the 10th region I already knew all about Miller. At the time I wasn't sure about how he would handle the pressure of the championship game, then he came in and hit a three right off the bat, I had no more questions after that.

Setty has moved from Peebles, Ohio. He moved here in seventh grade. Darius has lived here his whole life.

I remember Miller in that championship game and I remember thinking "That kid is going to be something in a few years." He did it even sooner than I thought. Wasn't fun watching what he did to Central last year.

His mother is a teacher at Straub elementary is why they moved.

Both are great ball players and along with Russ Middleton should be a great ball team next year.Setty has an excellent touch on his shots and Miller can do it all. I wish them all the best. I think King will work out well for the Royals next year also.:ylsuper:

No the story is he played aau since 4th grade with Darius, Russ, Ethan etc. The family decided to move here and his mom happened to be a teacher and got a job, so you were partly right.

I believe also on that team was Blaine Stull of Montgomery Co. They went to nationals with that team. A lot of talent there as you can tell.:thumb:

I'm guessing that there will be a lot of teams in the 10th that will be more needy than Mason County next year.:D

Now that we've answered the innocent question about Miller and Setty, does anything else need to be said on this thread?
