Has anyone heard the latest on the Asst. Coach at Bracken Co? My daughter has heard at school that he is looking elsewhere.... Anyone know anything on this? U Reach can you fill us in?

Since URIT hasnt filled us in, can someone else?

Are there any jobs left open in the 10th Region? If so, when will they be filled?

Heard that Coach Bretz who was looking to get out of coaching last year is going to try that route again.

Heard that Nicholas has a very good candidate in mind. One of a few good 10th region assistants who deserve a chance.

Riley at Campbell County, Collins at Pendleton County, Kelsch at Bracken County, Kinney at Harrison County are all good young assistants who would make a wonderful leader of a program for some school.

I agree with you. All of the Assistants that you listed would make be an important asset to any basketball program.

St. Pat is not coming open as far as I know. We are working on scrimmaging some this summer. Looking for some 4 team round robin scrimmages at his gym and at ours across the river:lol:

I recently spoke with Coach Ormes from St. Patrick and in our conversation, I asked him of his coaching plans, and he told ne directly that he is not going anywhere, he will be back at St. Patrick and has his summer schedule already in place.

I really thought that was false information.. I had spoken with Coach Ormes as well and I never got any impression of him leaving.. He is a fixture at St. Pat and I hope he continues to coach.

Has all positions in the 10th been filled now?

Noy too sure if they have made a desicion at Nicholas Co. yet.

Augusta has named a new girls coach.

Augusta in my opinion got a really good girls coach. Coach Arnold was a coach at Fleming Co. in the junior high program and had a lot of success. I have had the pleasure of coaching against her in the past and look forward to meeting her on the hardwood again next season.

GOod Luck and Congrats to Coach Arnold and Augusta for hiring a good coach.

It's pretty well wrapped up at Nicholas Co.

Can you tell us who it is?

I heard Monday on WFTM radio in Maysville that Coach Orme will not return next season as Girls Basketball coach, the officals at St. Pat wanted to take the program into a new direction. Why Coach Orme has done a great job with the lady Saints. He's been there at St.Pat for 10 years what gives?

Have also heard the rumors of Augusta,Deming and St. Patrick will all be looking for head coaches before the beginning of next season. Would really like to see Elaine Douglas(think that is her name) get into high school coaching. Tons of good coaches out there for girls and boys, but you have to be a teacher and that knocks out lots of good quality candidates. Unfortunately there are lots of teachers that have no business coaching middle school or other wise.

Seems like your rumors knew more than even Coach Ormes.

Does anyone know of any coaching changes in the 10th region? I know that Montgomery's coach is retiring?

Who are the front runners for that job?

Any other openings and front runners?

I read in the Nicholas County paper that Barry Brentz Girls Varsity,Kim Blake Girls asst and freshman, Mike Sowell boys freshman all resigned. As well as

Adam Davis Co-AD !?
