Coaching changes?

Mustang, glad you said rumor and if he did resign it would be well known by now. I know for a fact this sad rumor mil has brought out many questions and thoughts from several people who "want to know what is going on". But don't you worry mustang green does not mix well with purple and it would be purple's choice to decide not green with desire. But the fact is you do not know what is going on at all. Rumor is just that. However, I did recall how defensive you were when it was rumored about a prior mustang coach was leaving. So I can understand your sensitivity with your posting.
Thank you for setting me straight on that! But you must be confusing me with someone else.

Your memory must be fading with age. I knew the instant that John Messmer "retired" from Highlands that Willie would apply for the vacant position at his alma mater.

One thing that Willie was, was straight up. We had asked him to stay three years and he stayed seven, but he always was clear that there were two jobs that he would leave for, and Highlands was his first choice, so there was certainly no being "defensive" about it. His successor was already in place and had served his second year as our varsity assistant at the time, so it was a very smooth transition that has allowed us the continued success that he enjoyed.

Besides I was on a month long fishing trip in Canada when that transition took place and was totally out of the loop.

Where can I sign up for one of those. Darn... everyone else always has all the fun.  :irked: :irked:

It's easy.

1st) Stay Single - Raising a family, paying for braces and a home, two cars, and a dog, while putting kids through college severely limits your ability go take month long fishing trips anywhere.

2nd) Work 30 years at Procter and Gamble and retire with a nice 401k also helps.

Until then oogle the pictures of our last trip:

Lyon County is open. Jimmie Johnson resigned after three years in the post Ty Rogers era.

Union County is open. Bill Price retired.

Applies both ways in rewriting the past.

Still, it is clear you do not know what is going on and simply making stuff up. If you are a friend you claim to Campbell's coach, call him up and ask him yourself.

I'm not making things up.

I didn't contend to be the source here.

I simply made an attempt to clear up all of the goofy cloak and dagger stuff that was posted early in the thread pertaining to the rumor that was being bantered around at the 10th Region Tournament.

I also said - "Don't shoot the messenger," but I guess that would be asking too much. I guess we will have to wait and see how it plays out.

Keep dreaming mustang. There is nothing to your gossip. I liked how the coach responded, not much of a life for someone to spend their time talking about other's life. So, drop your wait and see, cant name a few, etc. You are not in the loop on this by the way you keep going in circles! And I will repeat what you do not deal about, if you are the friend you claim to be, call him. That would be asking too much, it is better to stir it on this site. Very good of you. By the way, I have it on good word that one of your mustang coaches is asking about job vacancies. So your info may not be as happy as you make it.

Few is a bit overstated.

I can only come up with one district head coach that might be interested and his team doesn't wear Green and White.

It does not matter if it is 1, 2, or 3. I have been saying for some time that Reitz's is staying. I know Reitz gets along well with the superintendent and have seen them discussing basketball at many games. I think the super is pleased with his coaching.

I hope that you are right, Mike's a good guy who has been through some lean years that seem to be turning around for the better.

I also believe Mike Reitz will stay at Campbell. Other than his boy playing at Harrison County, I do not see a reason for him to leave.

However, if he does leave, his replacement may be from the same district, but it won't be the guy who's team where's blue and white.

If he does leave, who from the 37th would be interested?

I have heard the blue and white story, I think that is just talk because he has family this way. Doesn't matter now anyway.

Why is that?

Why is that?

Sources at CCHS say that Coach Reitz is not retiring.
