ADopted ADmiral
If UK and dUKe played each other in the first round would it be the biggest first round game in the history of the 64/65 Team tournament?
super
It would, but I don't really think they will let this happen in the 1st round.
UKPat02
It would, but I don't really think they will let this happen in the 1st round. Why not? If they didn't meet in the first round they likely wouldn't meet at all. Why not milk that cash cow while you can?
UKPat02
And here's an even better question... Say UK plays Duke in the 1st round. UK wins but gets smashed by 15+ by a 1 seed in the second round. Is the season a success because we beat Duke?
Son of Bear
If UK and Duke played in the first round then it would be two mediocre teams (with powerhouse names on their jerseys) on the floor.

They could put them in the same Region, and if Duke and UK just happen to make it to the sweet 16 round, they could meet there. But I think they will put Duke up with a no name team as well as kentucky in the 1st round games. Again JMO.

Youth Coach
I actually thought about this a couple of days ago...would be a great 8-9 matchup...problem is that Duke will likely get pampered by the committee and get no lower than a 6 seed despite their slump. I doubt KY has fallen to an 11.
panther15z30
How bout a 7-10 matchup with Memphis or Wisconsin awaiting as the #
polarbear1994
Memphis pounded you once... why ask for them again? Wisconsin will either lose in the opening round or go VERY deep.

Is the season a success because we beat Duke? Absolutely, even though I would be mad about a loss in the second round the UK fans will tell ya they want to beat Duke more than any other team in America. We would forgive Tubby for this season if we beat the team we hate.

It was a game at the half, I think we have a better shot at beating them than some of the other potential 2 seeds.
