Absolutely, even though I would be mad about a loss in the second round the UK fans will tell ya they want to beat Duke more than any other team in America. We would forgive Tubby for this season if we beat the team we hate.

 

 

No they wouldn't....UK/Duke is not a rivalry....

Who cares if it is a rivalry or not...UK fans would love to see Duke get beat in the first round by the CATS. I called this game to happen in the other thread. It probably won't but it would be awesome if it did.

If it did happen, and it is a huge IF, I see UK going down to Duke by 10+.

Duke will probably get a 7 seed. UK could drop to 10th or 11th. Don't see them paired in the first round.

I can't remember a bigger first round game as far as big name programs go. I remember Oklahoma and Alabama playing in the first round a few years ago.

 

I do know this is the first time since seeding began in 1979 that UK will be a six seed or worse in consecutive years. They were an eight last year.

If it did happen, I'm sure the game will be played in Winston-Salem since the NCAA usually does Duke a first round favor by keeping them in-state.

They could put them in the same Region,and if Duke and UK just happen to make it to the sweet 16 round, they could meet there.But I think they will put Duke up with a no name team as well as kentucky in the 1st round games.

I agree because they both bring great crowds and you want to keep them a round as long as possible to keep drawing money!

^ the games are going to be big anywhere...the crowd is not a factor. Advertising has already been sealed up....all that would benefit is the ratings.
