March 9, 200719 yr They should have a better seed than UK.... Atleast Duke has wins against the top 25..... UK does too....Tennessee and UofL are both top 25 right now....and yes, I know UT was without Lofton, but they are still top 25....
March 9, 200719 yr UK does too....Tennessee and UofL are both top 25 right now....and yes, I know UT was without Lofton, but they are still top 25.... The polls mean nothing. UK has wins over #7 minus Lofton and #25 IU in the RPI...
March 9, 200719 yr The polls mean nothing. UK has wins over #7 minus Lofton and #25 IU in the RPI... They still count as top 25 wins....Not the best, but they're there regardless.
March 9, 200719 yr They still count as top 25 wins....Not the best, but they're there regardless. Yes they are, but the committee has made it known they take injuries to stars in to consideration. The UT win isn't going to mean as much as a normal Top 25 win...
March 9, 200719 yr Yes they are, but the committee has made it known they take injuries to stars in to consideration. The UT win isn't going to mean as much as a normal Top 25 win... this is true, however they are looking at the team with the injured player and not counting their losses while the player was injured as heavily against them. I do not think they are going to heavily discount the team that beat them while their star player was injured though.

March 9, 200719 yr Duke will be higher than they should. They were a 7th seed in the ACC tournament and lost the first round game. That should put them around a 8 or 9 seed in the NCAA tournament. I would expect them to get around a 6.
March 9, 200719 yr ^ I don't really care...they don't stand a chance to win it this year... me rooting them on or not...what's the real difference if they lose first round, second, third, or fourth? Their incoming class is spectacular. Could be even better if they land PP... :jump: :sssh:
March 9, 200719 yr I think Duke should be in the 8/9 game. However, understanding to some degree how the committee works, and the influence that (right or wrong) teams like Duke and UK carry, I'll think they'll be a 7 seed.
