After the awe & shcok wore off Bath in the 1st half and they realized they could play with Russel it was a little different in the 2nd half. Baths pressure really bothered Russell wonder how Elliotts will affect them?

I'll go with Elliott by 5, Russell is extremely good at moving the ball with the pass & extra pass in the half court however they will need to do it some off the dribble against Elliotts pressure & I see problems there. Look for a lot of walks to be called. Blair is the only strong ballhandler & this could be the difference.

My heart says Elliott....my brain.....well, it never works---so I guess I will go with EC.

If Russell controls the pace the scores will not reach the high 60's. They played higher scoring games earlier in the year, but Dodd tends to control the tempo more come tournament time. It's not always as pretty, but it has been effective.

I think both of these teams are better than Ashland. The regular season match ups would suggest that as well.

When the relax comes Elliott will poor it on just as Bath almost did . And Elliott won't be down by 27 they may even be up a few. Russell don't go looking to far ahead , steps are closing fast and they got you. Look out.:banana: :banana:

 

Hopefully Russell won't relax in this one. If I'm not mistaken they had Elliott down 16-18 the first time these teams met. I don't think anybody is looking ahead.

They also had about 30 of those 74 from Vanhoose. Russell is a good, but closer to average team without Vanhoose. They had a little trouble with Bath County tonight. I think Elliott will win by double digits.

 

 

Had trouble with Bath? What game were you watching? Bath made a run in the 4th but as soon as Russell started to play again they took control quite easily.
