March 7, 200719 yr I can't believe it, but Chris Lofton is not the SEC player of the year. The award went to the guy from Vandy. Also, Randolph Morris is on the ALL-SEC 1st Team and Jodie Meeks/Derrick Jasper are on the ALL-SEC Freshman team.

March 7, 200719 yr I don't get the uproar. Byars is a stud. Sure Lofton is great, but its hard to argue against Byars.

March 7, 200719 yr Lofton was the flavor of the year on the mouths of all the sports announcers. Every time Tenn played, highlights were shown or someone spoke of the SEC, they spoke of "one of the nation's premier scorers/shooters". I heard that specific phrase over and over again.
