It's the wrong board, but the toughest draw in the state HANDS DOWN goes to the Scott Co. girls team... They won their district tournament and are ranked #1 in the state and drew Lex. Cath., the #2 ranked team in the state in the first round of regions.

 

BTW - Lex Cath won this game tonight...

It was a very tough draw for a 1st round game. Eighter of these two teams could win the region and make some noise in Rupp and now playing in the 1st round of the region. I think this game will be close but if not, feel free to quote me. But I feel MC could sneak up on the highly touted Mason Co. team.

Montgomery County completely lacks the fire-power necessary to beat the Royals. Brossart held the Indians to 33 points in their only encounter in the MCIT before getting thumped the next night by the Royals 56-33.

 

On paper the tribe have had a great season - but Wednesday night they go to baseball season.

I like South Laurel's draw...top 2 challengers (Bell and Corbin) are in the other bracket. South should be able to get to the final of the region to defend their 13th region title without much heat (no disrespect to Knox Central, Cumberland or Clay County intended).

Many think Hazard got the best draw, in the 14th, by drawing Wolfe Co. I guess that means Wolfe got the worst draw?

I think Corbin got a tough draw. They drew a tough Pineville team in the opening round and then having to beat Bell and South on successive nights in order to win the region.

I don't think Corbin will get any sympothy from Frankfort, Madison Central, Western Hills, Tates Creek, or Model. These 5 teams would have to win 3 games over 2 top 10 teams to win the tournament. Corbin doesn't know how good they have it. They get to play Pineville at home and don't have to beat a single top 10 team to win the regional.
