I just don't think Dixie has played well done the stretch and it is hard to get excited about them winning a very weak district. Picking Highlands to pull the upset...55-50

In the last 15 games, basically since mid-January:

 

HHS is 5-10.

Dixie is 5-10.

 

Prior to this stretch, Dixie did beat Highlands by 21. Simpson and McGraw both scored for Highlands. I believe Simpson has been back for a few weeks, but McGraw is still not back.

Dixie has plenty of time to prepare as well

 

Hopefully they are doing their pushups. It will be a very physical game and I think the Birds will knock off the Colonels. Willie will have the troops ready and Wise will take on the challenge of putting some muscle on Mace.

 

I stil say Simpson will need to get over 20 pts.

Then "red" colonels 62-61 over "blue" colonels.

Could go either way. Neither team is very consistant. Heck Highlands is in a nail-biter with Dayton, then NCC barely hangs with them in the first half, then Highlands gets outscored 13-0 to start the third period, then outscores NCC 8-0 to end the period.

 

An under control Simpson is the key along with keeping Dixie from easy baskets inside. If Highlands shoots it well they win this one but they could easily fall behind early and never get in the flow. I think Dixie in a low scoring squeaker.
