Good to see one team moving in the right direction. Congrats to the Cards!

This game got off to a pretty ugly start and ended that way as well. 4 Technicals in the game I believe and the Seton Hall players showed about as much class as their coach did. Smith went out with a possible concussion but I never heard anymore on him. Good game for the Cards. We've clinched the 2nd overall seed in the Big East Tourney!:dancingpa

The Cards are on the rise. If they can finish strong in the big east they may get to a three seed.

Five players today with points in double digits for the Cards. Padgett and Williams had double double's, while Caracter finishes with 13 & 7. Great team effort by the Cards! Seton Hall was shooting lights out in the first half, 8 of 9 from 3 i think, but the Cards were too much for them to handle down the stretch.

While Seton Hall played overly physical ball...the Jerry Smith incident was completely clean, IMO.

UL clinches the #2 seed. They play the winner of the 7/10 game.

West Virginia is the #7 seed. Villanova or Providence will be the #10 seed.

If Providence beats St. Johns today, then PC is the No. 8 seed, DePaul is the No. 9 seed and Villanova is the No. 10 seed.

If Providence loses, then DePaul is the No. 8 seed, Villanova is the No. 9 seed and Providence is the No. 10 seed.

I thought it looked clean as well. The only possible scenario where it wouldn't have been clean would be that the other player let go on purpose when Smith went to rip the ball out letting his momentum take him down. Although I highly doubt that is what happened. That thud when his head hit was pretty disturbing though...

:thumb: Thanks for the info, I'll have to keep an eye out on those scores.

I only got to catch a few of the Cards' uglier minutes early in the game. What happened with the SH coach?

I liked it. Obviously hope there are no longterm ramifications to Smiths head, but otherwise I like that Louisville found themselves vs a team throwing all punches. All of our next games are one and done and it's good not to stroll into the tournaments.

Cards looking really good. If they can find their way to the BEAST finals they'll be a 3 or 4 seed. I really feel that they can make a long run in the Big Dance.

With less than a minute left in the game I believe, Pitino called a timeout to get the Seniors their standing ovation from the crowd(which I'm always glad to see) and he got all worked up about nothing and ran out onto the court yelling at the refs. He then got his SECOND technical of the game and was ejected.
