Elliott vs Boyd predictions

Featured Replies

Should be an excellent game that will be won by whichever team dictates the tempo. If Boyd can keep the score low and get Selby involved, and he must stay out of foul trouble, Boyd could win. If the game is uptempo and above the high 50's I think that favors Elliott County.

After reading the Daily Independent I now realize that Elliott County has no chance in this tournament according to the editors:rolleyes:  In my opinion this lack of respect from our big city neighbors will only add a little more motivation to a solid group of undersized kids who play as hard as any team I have seen in a long time. I can only hope that the Independent is as knowlegable and correct as always and the Lions make a deep run into the tournament.:thumb: :thumb:

Elliott Co should win this game by 10 or so. If Boyd can avoid foul trouble and play a turnover free game, maybe they can pull out the win.

ELLIOTT IS WITH TWO "T"'S;)

I hope this isn't a prediction.....:p

Boyd by 5. They actually have the athletes to match up with the twins and the physical player, Blanton, to match up with Ferguson. If the they are able to be physical and bump the sophs some, they win this one. Elliott has noone to even come close to stopping Selby. As for Selby guarding someone on Elliott, I saw him slow down Euton and even pick his pocket. I also agree with KYGirl, seniors are desperate!

Selby may very well have a monster game tomorrow, but Elliott stopped him pretty well the first time, holding him to 7 points. I agree he is an excellent player, but he is not the best Elliott has faced this year, and with the exception of VanHoose, they have fared pretty well.

Elliott didnt stop Selby....Selby stopped Selby...He couldnt throw it in the ocean that night. He was like 2 for 16 or something from the floor..... Not to mention they quit feeding the ball inside that game. This is going to be the game of the tourney in my opinion....I still think Boyd will pull this out.....

Elliot County will play their hearts out, but if the Rimms are shrinking at Ellis T,

it may come down between Ferguson and Selby in the paint, if Selby stays out of foul trouble, the LIONS will advance

That was Selby's 3rd varsity game, he is a much improved player since then.

Needs to cut down on silly fouls to take himself out of games.(must play 28 min.)

Great.... But lay off them pork-N- beans. Better yet give em to Selby 4 cans, create space in the paint.

Or peel some paint :D
