Madison Central got the tough draw - with Tates Creek. However - they got the worst draw last year too - playing Station in the first round. All it did was give them the confidence to become region champions.

Actually I thought Madison Central got a good draw last year. Getting station in the first round meant they got to play them at home, like TC this year. It also put Scott Co in the opposite bracket.

I like the draw for my Defenders.

That's the only good draw BS could have gotten. You had a 1 in 3 shot and beat the odds. Otherwise you were going to play at Mad Central or Lex Cath.

The only team that they weren't in the game with was Norcross.

Central also beat George Rogers Clark and plays a quality slate. Gotta love the fact that Model gets to play LexCath. Boy, the 44th District doesn't get it. Madison Southern should be playing in the region, but it's not likely to happen soon as long as they keep DRAWING instead of SEEDING for the tournament. ... Someone needs to address this problem to the 44th District. Sometimes it's not all about MONEY.

You definitely can't knock on Central's schedule. They played all the teams they could. They can't help that they are in a weak district. They have their work cut out for them to repeat as 11th Region Champions. Facing a very talented Tates Creek team and then possibly 2 of the top 3 teams in the state. Ouch.

The Semi's on Saturday afternoon are going to as good as any recent Sweet Sixteen Final Four. We will (more than likely) see four of the state's top ten teams playing for just a birth in the region final.....

They are who they are, which for one is an excellent school. However they also very tiny and forced to play in one of the toughest regions in the state.

This regional tourney is stacked, the final four will be Lexington Cath, Scott Co., Bryan Station, and Tates Creek. The final four of the region should be more like the final four for the State Crown.

Scott County is definately the heavy favorite. The run they are having this year is pretty amazing. This is probably the best Scott County team Billy Hicks has put on the court. If they can run the table and become state champs they will be one of the most dominant if not the most dominant 11th Region teams I've witnessed.

I wonder if coach Hicks has already booked rooms at the Plaza next to Rupp yet. Madison Central and Lexington Catholic are the only two team that could interrupt those plans and it looks like SC will have to play those two in consectuive order.
