I wonder if coach Hicks has already booked rooms at the Plaza next to Rupp yet. Madison Central and Lexington Catholic are the only two team that could interrupt those plans and it looks like SC will have to play those two in consectuive order.

 

Coach Hicks is smart enough to focus on Frankfort High - for now.

 

IMO - Tates Creek, Bryan Station, Madison Central, and Lex Cath are ALL more than capable of beating my Cards.

Scott County is definately the heavy favorite. The run they are having this year is pretty amazing. This is probably the best Scott County team Billy Hicks has put on the court. If they can run the table and become state champs they will be one of the most dominant if not the most dominant 11th Region teams I've witnessed.

 

This team is good, but I'd take the team with Rick Jones, Scott Hundley, AW Hamilton, Casey Alsop, Toby Harris... as the best that Hicks has ever put on the court at SC.

Why make fun of Model?

 

They are who they are, which for one is an excellent school. However they also very tiny and forced to play in one of the toughest regions in the state.

 

I know I have a very close relative who works there. We are always giving Model a hard time.

 

They were the ones who were wearing "Model Football Undefeated for 40 years"

I agree. They won the City of Palms Tournament that year which had several top 10 teams in the country. But I don't think Toby Harris and Scott Hundley every played together. I think Harris graduated after the 98 state championship year and Hundley was not at SC then.

If you lived in Richmond then you may have a different prospective about the poor ole' little school. I don't for once feel sorry for them, they have every opportunity in the world at that school.

 

The team I feel sorry for is Madison Southern because they are by far the 2nd best team in the district 99.9% of the time but since there is a draw they get screwed.

Madison Central will win the 11th again, they will prob beat Scott in the finals by about 20 or so. But if for some reason, Scott county gets some more home cookin at regionals we will just have to tell MR. CLUTCH to step up and soak that net with a 3! AKA Duane Fields. Yeah i think every person in all of Scott county starts shakin in their boots when they hear that name. you better get ready SC.

If MC even thinks about looking past Tates Creek then season over. The Creekers and Indians split the regular season meetings. For Central to get to Scott County would be a great achievement; they would face 2 very tough games on the way. After watching the Indians in the district tourney, they better pick up their play or will be an early exit.

Agree Model can't help being in same district as Central and Southern, but be fair about it. The district needs to be seeded. Who wants to see Model get destroyed in the region by Catholic? Just curious. When is the last time Model won that district? I know Berea did in 1988 and Southern did in 1995. Berea didn't use being small as a crutch. I was a part of that team and we just went out and played the game.
