Once again the Lady Royals were able to accomplish something that the boys team has never accomplished, win a District title. Good luck to both the Lady Royals and the Kittens as they get ready for Morehead. I think the girls tournament is going to be wide open.

Rose Hill jumped out 7-0 and the game was never remotely in doubt. Ashland played hard and never gave up. However, the final score could have been much worse.

Rose Hill played good defense and didn't allow Ashland to shoot and hit their threes. On offense, Rose Hill missed a goodly number of layups and were a little sluggish.

Excellent game plan by Coach Euton and her staff and they deserve much of the credit. The game ball clearly should go to Britt for her fine performance at both ends of the floor. She was also masterful in removing the nets.

Scooterbob: You hit the nail on the head. Britt played an excellent game. Several steals; excellent defense; and very controlled on the offensive end. Any Stats??

We'll have to wait for Himmelfarb for the statistics. However, he did say that it was a balanced effort.

In a special moment prior to the announcing of the starting lineups, Coach Euton presented Laura Terry with her ball for scoring 2,000 points. Laura wanted to wait until her father, who works out of town, could attend and the district officials at Boyd County were kind enough to allow it to be done tonight. Wonderful moment for the Terry family and for all of us who feel close to them.

I talked to Laura's grandfather tonight, and you are correct. The entire family is bursting w/ pride for Laura. Not only for her accomplishments on the floor, but for her overall demeanor. 4.0 GPA and always in a good mood. If you see her w/ a group of friends, she is always cutting up and having fun, but she also knows the value of hard work. Her efforts we see on the court are the result of years of toil and labor and it is nice to see it pay off for her. Not a harder worker on or off the court, IMO.

It is a shame that Coach Cook refused to shake the Rose Hill girls and the Rose Hill coaches hand after the game.

Again, the Ashland Administration needs to ask Coach Cook, why such bad sportsmanship.

He must be hanging around coach Hart.

Great team play continues to serve the Lady Royals well.

Both teams came to play tonight. Nice game to watch. Surprise, but it consisted mainly of basketball. Well, and some anxious and suspenseful moments concerning one stubborn net.

Keep it up Lady Royals, we're with you all the way!

Was it just me, or did I see Kayla Faulkner run through the Rose Hill launch line just before starting lineups. Good to see kids come back and support their highschool teams and teammates.
