It didn't happen and today is the day this season offically turned around for me, I feel like Louisville is back in the discussion of College basketball and all is right with the world. :thumb: :banana: I'm no fan of Pitino, but I can't help but harken back to his comments I heard in the interview room following the Syracuse win, where he needled the regular beat writers for digging the Cards' grave too soon.

February 18, 200719 yr I was at BW-3's watching this...and it was absolutely packed...Louisville has never been dealt a worse hand when it comes to a basketball game..they had the opposition, their fans, and the refs against them tonight....yet Jerry Smith hit a buzzer beater, and the bar erupted...one of the coolest things that I have ever experienced.

February 18, 200719 yr Palacious has never lived up to his billing since his freshman year. His frosh year he lived off of Garcia, Dean, OBannon, Myles and company. Then Pitino dubbed him a "Mashburn". Pitino did the same with Jared Prickett, when he said he could be like Larry Bird when Prickett was living off of better players around him. UL has been healthy since the beginning of this month and they lost two games in a row to GTown and Nova. Their last few games has centered around ball movement, better defense and people that can consistently make shots are shooting them. Hence, Williams shooting far less. Palacios has been hurt since about 3 weeks ago..a loss to G-Town at home and 'Nova on the road? There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. This Cardinal team is skyrocketing right now...they are doing many things right...last night they had everything that could go against them, going against them, yet they come out smelling like roses. Ricky P has them doing the right things at the right times.

Ricky P has them doing the right things at the right times. I'm not much of a Pitino fan, either, but he does know when to "hold em and when to fold em" He once said that he hated to be rated. If you were in the top 10, the other teams were always out to get you and everyone was watching you. He has a point.

They are certainly better than UK at this point. Huge win... Also, wasn't the score 61-59?
