Maybe. But I was one of probably 20-25 people in the bar who cheered loudly and fist-pumped after the game.

 

Actually, at UF they probably wouldn't care, from what I've heard from folks who've went to Gainesville to see a BB game. FB, now that's a different story.

I was at a Hooters on Dutchmans lane and everyone there were Cards fans except one table of Cats fans and even though they were cheering against us most the game at the end they finally came around. When Jerry Smith hit that shot people started hunging people and high fiving strangers. It was awesome. Ram2003 and I had a lot of fun out there tonight, though I have to admit the last three minutes had me worried.

I think the health extent of it was really overblown by Pitino. We hear about how bad Padgett's ankle injury was and he turns around and plays buckoo minutes versus Pitt and plays very well.

Bottom line, Willimas has been lassoed in on the offensive end and they are passing the ball better.

On defense, the old trademark full court man to man pressure has given way to a very efective 2-2-1 full court pressure into a half court 2-3.

Give Pitino credit, he has hidden their weaknesses and righted the ship.

 

Maybe. Remember, I can't stand Pitino. But I don't think he's oversold the Cards' injury issues. Think about it: Brad Gianiny was getting major PT earlier in the season because of L'ville's injuries at guard to Jenkins and McGee. And what about Palacios? He's kind of a forgotten guy, for the most part, and a lot of this has to do with his various injury problems, which linger.

 

I do agree, however, that reining in T-Will has been a big key. Plus, with his having to pull duty at PG, it's made him a much better passer and ballhandler, as well as improving his defense.

Palacious has never lived up to his billing since his freshman year.

His frosh year he lived off of Garcia, Dean, OBannon, Myles and company.

Then Pitino dubbed him a "Mashburn".

Pitino did the same with Jared Prickett, when he said he could be like Larry Bird when Prickett was living off of better players around him.

 

UL has been healthy since the beginning of this month and they lost two games in a row to GTown and Nova.

 

Their last few games has centered around ball movement, better defense and people that can consistently make shots are shooting them. Hence, Williams shooting far less.

Don't worry about that. It didn't happen and today is the day this season offically turned around for me, I feel like Louisville is back in the discussion of College basketball and all is right with the world.
